Oromocto could be a Canadian city in Sunbury County, New Brunswick. The city is found on the geographical region of the St. John watercourse at the mouth of the Oromocto watercourse, just about twenty kilometres southeast of Fredericton. The town’s name springs from the name of the Oromocto River; “oromocto” is believed to possess originated from the Maliseet word wel-a-mook-took which implies “deep water”.
