Orie is a village of approximately 3,000 people, and located in the Isoko South local government area of Delta state, Nigeria. It is also called Orie-Irri because its inhabitants are generally believed to have originally migrated from Irri town. Orie is surrounded by three villages: Opke, Ofagbe and Utue.
Most inhabitants are Christians, with a minority still adhering to traditional pagan practices. The village has one primary school. There is no electricity. The Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC) provided two bore holes to supply clean drinking water to Orie and most of the surrounding villages. The main occupation of the people is farming.
