The O’Reilly Theater could be a 650-seat theater building, opened on December eleven, 1999, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Placed at 621 Penn Avenue in downtown Pittsburgh’s Cultural District, the O’Reilly Theater is really a three-part building: The sixty five,000 sq. Feet (6,000 m2) theater (with a 150-seat rehearsal hall), an outsized parking garage known as Theater sq., and therefore the adjacent twenty three,000 sq. Feet (2,100 m2) Agnes R. Katz Plaza.
The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust engineered the new theater, designed by designer Michael Graves P.A., to form a downtown home for the Pittsburgh Public Theater theatrical company, further on produce further venues for theater, music, and alternative art performances. The O’Reilly venue options a theater stage encircled by the audience on 3 sides. To pay money for the $25 million value of construction, gifts to the project enclosed a naming gift in honor of Dr. Anthony O’Reilly from Mrs. Chryss O’Reilly and several other current and past senior executives of the H.J. Industrialist Company.
