Oneonta could be a town in southern Otsego County, New York, USA. Its nickname is “City of the Hills.” whereas the word “oneonta” is of undetermined origin, it’s popularly believed to mean “place of open rocks” within the Iroquois language. This refers to a distinguished natural object referred to as “Tablerocks” at the western finish of town.
