The previous devoted Historic District in Yellowstone River National Park contains the settled portion of the higher Geyser Basin encompassing the previous devoted lodge and previous devoted Geyser. It includes the Old Faithful lodge, designed by Henry Martyn Robert Reamer and itself a National Historic Landmark, the higher and lower Hamilton’s Stores, the Old Faithful Lodge, designed by Gilbert Stanley undergrowth, the Old Faithful Snow Lodge, and a range of supporting buildings. The previous devoted Historic District itself lies on the 140-mile Grand Loop Road Historic District.
A notable missing portion of the district is that the Old Faithful Museum of Thermal Activity, that fashioned a part of the trailside repository cluster that has the Madison repository, Frank Norris repository and Fishing Bridge repository, all listed as National Historic Landmarks. The Old Faithful repository was torn down in 1971 to form method for the Mission sixty six visitant center, that successively has been replaced by the Old Faithful visitant Education Center.
