In the heart of Ojcowski National Park on a rock, rise the ruins of another castle built by King Kazimierz Wielki. According to a legend King Władysław Łokietek (Ladislaus the Short) hid in a nearby cave . Today this cave is named after him and can be explored by visitors.
The way to the caves leads from the castle ruins down a marked out trail. The castle itself was once a large stronghold with several towers, a courtyard, and many outbuildings. It was left abandoned at the beginning of the 19th century and fell into ruin. Presently parts of the wall, a huge eight sided keep, and a gate tower remain in which is located a small exhibition of the the Ojcowski National Park museum .
