The Ohio Theatre may be a liberal arts center set at thirty-nine E. State Street in Columbus, Ohio. Called the “Official Theatre of the State of Ohio”, the historic 1928 picture palace was saved from demolition in 1969 and utterly fixed up. It had been declared a National Historic Landmark in 1977.
The Ohio Theatre is in hand and operated by the non-profit arts management organization CAPA (The Columbus Association for the performing arts Arts), that was originally shaped to avoid wasting the arena in 1969. The chief director is Bill Connor.
