Ogallala may be a town in Keith County, Nebraska, u. s..It is the county courthouse of Keith County. within the days of the American state Territory, town was a stop on the horse specific and later on the continental railroad. The Ogallala geological formation was named once town.According to the u. s. Bureau of the Census, town contains a total space of three.4 sq. miles (8.8 sq. Kilometer), of which, 3.3 sq. miles (8.5 sq. Kilometer) of it’s land and zero.1 sq. miles (0.26 sq. Kilometer) of it (1.76%) is water. Ogallala is near Lake McConaughy, an outsized artificial lake and a state recreation space with sandy beaches, boating, and swimming.
