Taxi : Local transport in Shimla is really good there are many taxi services are easily available within the city to reach this site.

Bus : Shimla is well connected with an extensive road network. There is an all-weather road leading to the hill resort, from Chandigarh, Mandi and Delhi. You can easily get State Transport as well as private buses for reaching Shimla from New Delhi. Infact, the high-end Volvo buses also cater to tourists going to Shimla. HPRTC buses offer bus connectivity from all cities in Himachal Pradesh to Shimla. Frequent ordinary and deluxe bus services are available from Delhi to Shimla. Overnight buses are available from Delhi (360 km, 9 hours, Rs 900 for AC Volvo bus) and Chandigarh (120 km, 4 hours and Rs 500 for AC Volvo bus).
The local transport system consists of buses. The local buses ply along the circular road which creates a ring around the city. The buses are a good way to get around the city and they are inexpensive.

Train : Shimla has a meter gauge railway station. It connects to the nearest broad gauge station at Kalka, which is at a distance of 89 km from Shilmla. Kalka has good connectivity from Chandigarh (Kalka Shatabdi), Ambala (Barmer Klk Exp), Delhi (Himalayan Queen), Mumbai (Paschim Express) and Kolkata (Howrah-Kalka). There are no direct trains from Hyderabad, Chennai and Bangalore. Taxi services are available from Kalka to Shimla and charge is about Rs 1,750. Kalka is well connected to all major cities in India by rail. After getting down at Airport take an auto-rickshaw, bus or hire a taxi to reach this site.
