Detail InformationEdit

Schloss Oberweis Castle is situated between the lovely towns of Laakirchen and Gmunden. It is privately owned and not open to public.
The three-story castle is embedded in the lush green meadows of a fabulous park. Admire the outstanding façade decorations overlooking the crystal clear pond and its beautiful lakeshore. A precious balcony, supported by two columns made of stone and roofed by a single cornice, is towering high above the park. The ground floor walls are decorated with a special kind of plaster.
Additionally, the castle and the pond are connected by a light-flooded pergola leading along the paved trail directly to the castle´s main entrance. The path continues across the park and past the courtyard to the exit. Simply follow the stone columns featuring portrait busts, statues and bowls made of rock. In 1834 the entire castle was completely reconstructed, the marvelous park was designed in the same period.
