Nyaya Mandir suggests that Temple of Justice, may be a piece of Byzantine architecture in India. The central hall of the building, that is adorned with mosaic tiles, is currently used as the town hall. inside the central hall may be a statue of maharani Chimnabai, who was the first consort of Gaekwad maharaja Sayaji Rao III.

Once maharajah Sayajirao Gaekwad III asked Robert Chisholm to create a vegetable market in the center of town, but once Chisholm was worn out 1896, he modified his mind and turned it into a town hall and later a Court. adjoin four acres and called Chimnabai Nyay Mandir at that time, it cost Rs 7 lac’s. a chunk of architectural style, it has an enormous central hall with a statue of Chimnabai. Its facade has Italian marble tiles. This was the supreme court pre-independence. Barodas last ruler Pratapsinhrao Gaekwad gave his final speech before acceding to Indian union, from the balcony of Building.
