Part of the Western Sahara Desert, Nouadhibou is the main commercial center of Mauritania. The climatic conditions followed by the scenic landscape are some of the major tourist attractions in the city. Nouadhibou offers its visitors with attractions such as several market places that sell wide variety of local handicrafts and consumer goods.
The city is also dotted with a few archeological sites of which most of them are in complete state of ruins. Besides this, the ship’s graveyard also attracts the attention of the visitors. There are few eating joints in Nouadhibou that offer wide variety of mouth watering cuisines. Fish is the main food consumed by majority of the people and is served in most of the dishes.
