Detail InformationEdit

The Notre Dame du Sablon is a religious building on the edge of Sablon in Brussels . It was not until the eighteenth century more specifically from May 8, 1716 found written the name Notre-Dame des Victoires trace, which at that time was already in use in the people, because we mistakenly thought , it was founded to celebrate the victory of Duke John I in the Battle of Worringen.
The arrival in 1348 of a miraculous virgin whose worship and procession called Ommegang would soon supplant the devotion and the procession to St. Michael was going to give this church a major role in the Brussels social life.
