North Kingstown may be a city in Washington County, Rhode Island, us. The population was twenty six,486 at the 2010 census. The renowned yankee painter Gilbert Stuart was born within the village of Saunderstown, placed within the southern region of North Kingstown. The city of Kings Towne was based in 1674, by the colonial government, and enclosed this day cities of North Kingstown, South Kingstown, Exeter, and Narragansett. In 1722, Kings Towne was split into 2 elements, North Kingstown and South Kingstown, with North Kingstown, having the earliest settlements, holding the 1674 institution date. In 1742 the city of Exeter was taken from the western a part of North Kingstown.
