Detail InformationEdit
The former Nobility Seat of Steegen today is a St. Pius´ Home for Handicapped Children.
The Nobility Seat of Steegen first appeared in historical documents in the year 1371. The Manor passed through many owners until Johann Achaz Hieber sold it to Earl Heinrich Johann of Strattmann in 1696. When he died, the estate came into the hands of the Peuerbach line of the Strattmann family. In 1825 the Nobility Seat of Steegen was sold again.
After remodeling and augmentation, the Manor now houses a Home for handicapped children.
