Neyruz is a municipality in the district of Sarine in the canton of Fribourg in Switzerland. Neyruz has an area, as of 2009, of 5.5 square kilometers (2.1 sq mi). Of this area, 3.2 km2 (1.2 sq mi) or 57.8% is used for agricultural purposes, while 1.44 km2 (0.56 sq mi) or 26.0% is forested. Of the rest of the land, 0.85 km2 (0.33 sq mi) or 15.3% is settled (buildings or roads), 0.04 km2 (9.9 acres) or 0.7% is either rivers or lakes and 0.01 km2 (2.5 acres) or 0.2% is unproductive land.
