Montreal’s ny insurance Building (also referred to as the Quebec Bank Building) was erected in 1887-1889. Placed at Place d’Armes in what’s currently referred to as previous city, it had been the tallest business building in city at the time. The primary eight floors were designed for retail workplace area, although were quickly rented by the city’s best lawyers and financiers. As such, once the tower was completed, the ninth and tenth floors were occupied by the most important legal library within the entire country, a present to the tenants from the owner.
