The the big apple town fireplace depository is found within the former quarters of FDNY Engine Company No. 30, a restored 1904 fireplace house at 278 Spring Street between Varick and Hudson Streets within the Hudson sq. Neighborhood of Manhattan, the big apple town. The depository cares for over ten,000 objects similarly as associate archive of records, ephemera and images calculable within the tens of thousands of items celebrating the history of the fireplace service and also the the big apple town department of local government. Samples of modern-day firefighting instrumentation are on permanent show at the depository similarly as a permanent memorial to the 343 members of the FDNY-EMS lost at the planet Trade Center on terrorist attack, 2001.
