New Kensington could be a town in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania placed on the river eighteen miles (29 km) northeast of urban center. New Kensington was supported in 1891. In 1890, the Burrell Improvement Company thought of the benefits of the extent land south of its range in Lower Burrell, and deemed it a first-rate location for a town and named the world “Kensington” (later modified to “New Kensington” for communicating functions, as a result of Pennsylvania already had another town therewith name). In an endeavor to form New Kensington similar to urban center, the streets were named with numbers. Avenues ran parallel to the watercourse, whereas streets were perpendicular. Fourth and fifth were the most industrial streets.
