New Castle could be a town in Lawrence County, Pennsylvania, u. s., fifty miles (80 km) northwest of urban center and close to the Pennsylvania-Ohio border simply eighteen miles (29 km) east of metropolis, Ohio; in 1910, the entire population was thirty six,280; in 1920, 44,938; and in 1940, 47,638. The population has fallen to 26,309 consistent with the 2000 census, and continues to say no with a Census Bureau estimate of twenty four,060 for 2009. it’s the county courthouse of Lawrence County. New Castle is that the principal town of the New Castle micropolitan space and a locality of the Pittsburgh-New Castle Combined applied mathematics space, that is that the eighteenth largest within the u. s.. it’s the industrial center of a fertile agricultural region.
