Primarily an administrative center, N’Djamena, the capital city of Chad is located at the confluence of the Chari and the Logone rivers. Featuring a semi-arid climate with a short wet season from June to September every year, N’Djamena is one of the hottest cities on planet Earth. Offering spectacular sunset views across the Chari River, other tourist attractions of this city include the Chad National Museum, a cathedral and numerous mosques. Famed as the ‘Capital of Islamic Culture’, N’Djamena City is also home to two universities and several schools and colleges.
Served by the N’Djamena International Airport which is located on the outskirts of the city, N’Djamena is also accessible by road through the Trans-Sahelian Highway, the N’Djamena-Dijibouti Highway and the Tripoli-Cape Town Highway. This central African capital city of Chad, which is an important destination on the Trans African Highway network, is also linked with Cameroon through a road bridge to Kousseri Town. N.A.
