Navegaon National Park is located in eastern part of Maharashtra state and constitute area of 133.78 Sq.Km. It has greate importance from nature conservation point of view. It is indeeed nature priceless assets and beckons one and all to enjoy its picturesque landscape, its pure and fresh air. It has got immense potentials from biodiversity conservation point of view. The national park has diverse type of vegetation ranging from dry mixed forest to moist forest. The vertibrate fauna of National park includes 209 species of birds, 9 species of reptiles and 26 species of mammals which includes Tiger, Panther, Jungle cat, Small India Civet, Palm Cavet, Wolf and Jackle. Interpretation centre, small museum and library facilities are available at park. Seven Watch cabins and five watch towers are located at park for wild life observation and photography.

Taxi : 140 km from Nagpur via Bhandara, Sakoli and Navegaon. Private taxies are also available here.

Bus : The town of Gondia is connected to other major places in the region through a good network of buses. Some of the important destinations that buses from Gondia ply to are Nagpur, Pune, Ahmednagar, Wardha, Jalna and Aurangabad. This is because the town of Gondia is located in the Mumbai to Kolkata highway that passes via Nagpur. Bus fares from the city of Pune to Gondia will range around Rs 750 for the basic class of travel. Buses from the city of Nagpur to Gondia will charge around Rs 600.

Train : The town of Gondia has a well established railway station that many trains pass through, including trains from the cities of Kolkata and Mumbai. You can also opt for trains from the stations of Nagpur and Mumbai to Gondia’s railway station. Train fares will range around Rs 300.
