The building it’s settled in is associate degree recent colonial jail, geological dating back to the 1797.When it became the primary building on Parliament sq., Nassau. It had been reborn into a library in 1873. The little jail cells that once housed prisoners currently contains recent colonial documents, newspapers, books, charts, Arawak artifacts, historic prints etc.
