Nanguneri is small town that is located in the Tirunelveli District in the State of Tamil Nadu. Nanguneri is located around 19 km from the headquarters of the district and has good bus services. The town has become significant due to the Vishnu Temple that is located in the town. There are many devotees of Lord Vishnu in the district and also the surrounding areas and many pilgrims flock to visit the temple and receive the blessings of the God. There are several other temples that are also located in the town and all of them are visited by devotees throughout the year. Some of the temples that are located in the town are the many Ayyanar Temples, Suadali Madan Temples, Muthuraman Temples and many other smaller shrines.There are festivals that are held in these temples and they are a good time to visit the place. Some of the festivals that can be seen in the temples are Kodai Vizha and Pari Vettai. These festivals are believed to inspiring and the festivities are grand. The place comes to life during the festival season. Temples are decorated during the festival season and processions can be seen all around town. Nanguneri is a good place to experience simple village life.

Nanguneri is a panchayat town in Tirunelveli district in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu.The place gained importance for the location of a famous Vaishnavite temple commonly known as Totadri Mutt. The Jeer (Spiritual Head) at Vanamamalai at Nanguneri commands wide reputation over Thenkalai Vaishnavites.

By Bus : Government buses are also available from Tirunelveli to Naguner. They can be hailed from the main bus terminus and tickets cost around Rs 20.
