Located along the Atlantic Ocean, Namibia is spread over a 825,418 square kilometer area featuring remarkable natural attractions like the Namib Desert, the Fish River Canyon Park, the Kalahari Desert and the Etosha National Park. Producing some of the best high quality diamonds in the world, mining, agriculture and manufacturing are the other areas contributing to the Namibian economy which is predominantly depending on tourism.
Officially called as the Republic of Namibia, this country is quite similar to South Africa albeit a mixed-race population. English is widely spoken throughout Namibia, along with Afrikaans and German as well. With a large number of excellent national parks alluring the visitors, Namibia showcases some of the finest African flora and fauna, along with some mammals whoc have adapted to the extreme heat, including the rare desert elephants.
