Nadaun is small village in the Hamirpur district of, located on the foothills of Shivalik range of mountains. It is around 42 km east of on the banks of River Beas and a small gurudwara is also located near the river.Located at an altitude of 508 mts above sea level, the town is famous for its mesmerising natural environs and unexplored groves. The climate of Nadaun can be classified as sub-tropical. Summer lasts from May to Mid July and this season is ideal for sight seeing. Winters are cold but the temperature does not fall to freezing points and snowfall does not occur. Monsoons last from July to September and this season should be avoided as rains can result in landslides.

Nadaun is a town and a nagar panchayat in Hamirpur district in the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. Earlier, it was in Princely state of Kangra and Raja Jodhbir Chand son of Raja Sansar Chand ruled on Kangra-Nadaun. Presently, Nadaun is a small town in Himachal Pradesh, located on the foothills of the Shivalik range forming the western end of the district Hamirpur. It is 42 km east of Kangra and is situated on the banks of the Beas.
