Museum of Tribal Arts & Artifacts gives you an all new perspective about India’s rich heritage. Apart from the conventional displays of clothing and jewellery you can find at most museums, this one also display thatched roof homes where tribals used to live. There is also a library nearby from where you can get detailed information about Odisha’s tribes. Walls that depict intricate Tribal Art, an elaborate display of traditional wares, an impressive collection of tribal weaponry and informative kiosks is what you will find at this newly built museum. Divided into 5 separate halls, each depicting an aspect from the lifestyle of tribals. The staff of the place is very helpful and keen on providing detailed information about everything on display to those who bother to ask.
HistoryEdit
Museum of Tribal Arts & Artifacts was established by the government to protect and promote the Tribal culture of the state. Most of the displays here come from Bonda, Lanjia Saora and Santhal tribes. In 2010, UNESCO recognized this museum as the best tribal museums in India and since then has been providing monetary help for its upliftment and maintenance.

Taxi : This place is well connected by road and is easily accessible by taxis. Taxis are also available from Bhubaneshwar charging anywhere from Rs 2,000 to Rs 3,000.
Bus : The New Bus Stand which is located at a distance of 6 km from the town center connects well to the major cities around Bhubaneswar. Bhubaneswar is connected to Puri (56 km) and Konark (36 km by regular bus services.
Train : Bhubaneswar railway station is about 6 km away from the city center. This railhead is well-connected to the metro cities and also to the cities Delhi (Bbs Duronto Exp), Kolkata (Falaknuma Exp), Hyderabad (Konark Express), Chennai (Coromandal Exp), Mumbai (Puri Ltt Sf Exp) and Bangalore (Bbs Ypr Sup Exp).
Air : Biju Patnaik airport at Bhubaneswar is nearly 5 km away from the heart of the city. It costs about Rs 100 by taxi cab. The airport is connected to Delhi and Mumbai. International travelers need to get connections through Delhi.
Others : You need to hire auto, cycle rickshaw or a cab to move around in Bhubaneshwar.
