The repository of Fine Arts in St. Petersburg, Florida, USA, opened to the general public in 1965. It had been established by Margaret Acheson Stuart (1896–1980).
The repository displays thousands of objects from early antiquity to the current day– one amongst the foremost comprehensive art collections on Florida’s geographic region. Highlights embrace masterpieces from Claude Monet, Paul Cézanne, Pierre-Auguste Renoir et al, a sculpture garden, a American Revolutionary leader glass gallery and one amongst Florida’s most revered photography collections.
A $21 million enlargement poor ground on weekday, December 4, 2006 and quite doubled the scale of the repository. The new 33,000 square-foot Hazel Hough wing, on the side of the building, was finished in 2008. The enlargement enclosed a brand new restaurant, associate degree enlarged library and an even bigger repository search.
