The museum on Schlösslberg mountain in Mogersdorf was opened in a 200 years-old barn where they used to dry tobacco in memoriam of the victory against the Turks on August 01, 1664. Victorious commander Prince Raimund Montecuccoli had defeated the Turkish armed forces.
The battle is depicted in three show rooms. A memorial which was erected on occasion of the “”300th anniversary of the Battle against the Turks”” is located on Schlösslberg mountain as well (15 m high concrete cross and chapel).
