Detail InformationEdit

Museo de Santa Teresa was originally a gorgeous Carmelite convent built in the 17th century. It was only recently that it was thrown open to public as a living museum. Featuring colonial era structures famed for decoratively painted walls and restored rooms, Museo de Santa Teresa features priceless pieces of art which include colonial-era paintings, precious metal works and murals. The student tour guides at this museum are great and can speak German, Portuguese, French, Spanish and English. A charming little shop run by the nuns selling baked goods and rose-scented soaps is located in front of the Museo de Santa Teresa complex.
