Detail InformationEdit

The main building comprises a tower with a lift that connects with a full-scale reproduction of a mine with REAL equipment. It simulates how coal was mined. Once you have been through the mine, you can also visit the permanent exhibition: a look at the history of mining in Europe from the Steam Age through to the period of maximum industrialisation in the Asturias Region. Furthermore, throughout the museum there are typical mining objects and areas to be seen such as materials laboratories, infirmary and washhouse.
