The museum is located in a mansion dating from the late 19th century. The collection consists of 1,200 works by More than 300 painters and sculptors from the 18th-20th centuries. Of special interest are the paintings by Zurbarán and Esquivel, sculptures by Cabrera, drawings by Lorca and Alberti, and engravings by Picasso and Dalí.
