Murdochville may be a little mining community situated in Quebec, Canada, one amongst only a couple of inland communities on the Gaspé Peninsula. Its population (as of 2006) is 812.
Murdochville is found on Quebec Route 198 within the geographic administrative district of Netherlands, 40 kilometres (25 mi) south of L’Anse-Pleureuse and 93 kilometres (58 mi) west of Gaspé. It’s 535 metres (1,755 ft) higher than water level and encircled by high mountains.
