Authority, the CDP incorporates a total space of ten.2 sq. Miles (26.5 km²), all of it land. Mountainaire CDP includes Kachina Hills and Mountainaire subdivisions, and close areas.
As of the census of 2000, there have been one,014 people, 417 households, and 246 families residing within the CDP. The population density was ninety nine.2 folks per area unit (38.3/km²). There have been 556 housing units at a median density of fifty four.4/sq mi (21.0/km²).
