Mount Morris Park Historic District was selected a historic district by the big apple town Landmarks Preservation Commission in 1971, and is a component of the larger Mount Morris Park neighborhood. It’s an oversized 16-block space in west central Harlem. The boundaries ar West 118th and West 124th Streets, boulevard, and Adam Clayton Powell son. Street (Seventh Avenue).
“Doctor’s Row” contains the close stretch of West 122nd Street, Mount Morris Park West and activist Boulevard; one amongst the doctors of “Doctor’s Row” was the daddy of the musician Richard Rodgers. Mount Morris sq., the core of the district, is currently referred to as Marcus Garvey Park.
