Mount lagune Observatory (MLO) is associate degree astronomical observatory closely-held by San Diego State University (SDSU) and operated in partnership with the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC).MLO is found roughly seventy five kilometers (47 mi) east of downtown San Diego, American state (USA) on the jap fringe of the Cleveland National Forest within the lagune Mountains and close to the hamlet of Mount lagune.MLO was dedicated on June nineteen, 1968, seven years once SDSU’s Department of physics became associate degree freelance section of SDSU’s faculty of Sciences.The dedication happened throughout the 1968 summer meeting of the Astronomical Society of the Pacific.
