Mount Girnar has around 866 temples that may be reached by mounting around 8,000 steps. The mountain has 5 peaks that were formed when a eruption. The tallest peak among these is around 945 m high. It’s known for a group of Jainist temples, placed on the western side of the mountain. There are around sixteen temples that are made from marble. Shrines of both the communities of Jains, Digambar and Shwetambar is seen here.
