Morvi is a city that is located in the Rajkot district in the state of Gujarat. The city, which is also known as Morbi, is a prosperous place and it was one of the princely states until the time of independence. The place was ruled by the Rajput clan called the Jadejas. One can see many interesting places in the city and some of them are Darbagadh, Wellington Secretariat, Mani Mandir, Art Deco Palace and the Suspension Bridge. Morvi is an ideal place for day trips from the nearby cities. The suspension bridge that is located in Morvi is considered to be a marvel of engineering and was built in the beginning of the 20th century. The bridge has been renovated recently and it is now open for tourists. Darbagadh was the residence of the rulers of the place and it is a fine building and a must see place if one is visiting the city of Morvi. It has been turned into a heritage hotel and it is now possible to visit the place. There is another palace that is located in Marvi called the New Palace and this is also worth visiting. The architectural styles of these buildings are a mix of different styles. Morvi is a city which experiences extremes of temperature and the conditions vary according to the seasons. Summers are hot and temperatures can get extremely high. The place experiences a good amount of rainfall during the monsoon season and the conditions are much cooler. The winter season can be cold and dry as well. The best time to visit the place is during the month of October or November.

By Air : the Ahmadabad airport and hire a taxi from there. The airport has good connectivity to Mumbai and has regular scheduled flights. It is situated around 237 km from the city and drive time is around 3 hours. Taxis charge approximately Rs 7 per km.

By Train : The nearest railway head is located at a place called Vankaner and there are regular train services from different parts of the state and also a few other states. This is the most viable option if you are planning to arrive by rail. Tickets need to be booked well in advance if one wishes to travel by rail.

By BUS : Morvi is a city that is well connected by highways to the rest of the state and one can easily reach place using Government buses, private buses, trains and taxis.

By Taxi : Taxis and Auto rickshaws are easily available for moving about in the city.

By Other : Beware of pickpockets as Morvi is a major tourist city in India.
