It has 8 kilometres of coastline, ideal for water sports all year round.
Moraira is one of the towns that make up Teulada-Moraira, 80 kilometres from Alicante. It is a traditional fishing harbour, at the centre of 8 kilometres of coastline, with fine white sand beaches such as Portet or L’Ampolla, and small coves like Andragó or Cap Blanc. For a large part of the year, its Mediterranean waters are excellent for sports such as sailing and scuba diving, thanks to its special microclimate: the average year-round temperature here is 18 deg C.
Moraira is an ideal destination for hiking enthusiasts, offering a range of signposted tracks and trails, such as those of Font Santa, Benimarco, Castellons, and Cap d’ Or, with beautiful views out over the bay. These typically Mediterranean landscapes are characterised by their pine woods and vineyards. Numerous sporting events are held in Moraira, such as the “300 Millas a Tres” regatta (January), the Moraira-Santa Eulalia tall ship regatta (September), and the Swimming Crossing (August).
