The Monument to all fallen 1940-1945 is a war memorial in Rotterdam. It commemorates all Rotterdam men and women in the Second World War have given in the struggle for liberation of the Netherlands. their lives The monument of Mari Andriessen was on May 4, 1957 by Princess Wilhelmina unveiled at the Town Hall. The bronze artwork consists of four people: a woman looking back, a child and a man looking at each other and a man with a spade looks ahead. The figures symbolize the link between past and future: the suffering of the past and confidence in the future. This image is part of the Rotterdam International Sculpture Collection.
