Mizpah Congregation could be a Reform someone temple in Chattanooga. The congregation was supported in 1866 by German someone businessmen, several of whom were veterans of the warfare. The congregation dedicated its 1st temple building, the Walnut Street Temple, in 1882. In 1904 a brand new temple was designed on the corner of Oak and Lindsay Streets.
In 1928 Adolph Adolph Simon Ochs, publisher of the Chattanooga Times and also the the big apple Times made a brand new temple building at 922 McCallie Avenue, in memory of his folks, Julius and Bertha Adolph Simon Ochs. The Georgian colonial building was selected as a Tennessee Historical Preservation web site in 1979.
