It is famous for the Matyó embroidery and his medicinal water. In the village museum styled “Hadas” district of the town there are handicraft artists working. We can find here the Memorial Hall for Kisjankó Bori, the most known Matyó pattern designer. The Agricultural Machine Museum raises a monument to the memory of our ancestors’ machines, and ancestors of our machines. The Matyó Múzeum offers an insight into the Matyó folk life. The unique frescos of the baroque Saint László church were prepared by Takács István. The Modern Jézus heart church is famous for its patronal festivals. The School Historical Collection is the location of museum pedagogy programs.
