Mebane may be a town set principally in Alamance County, North geographical area, us, with a neighborhood of it in Orange County, North geographical area. It’s a part of the city, North geographical area Metropolitan applied math space. In keeping with the Official web site of Mebane, NC, the city was named for General Alexander Mebane, Jr., a Revolutionary War figure and member of the U. S. Congress. It had been incorporated as Mebanesville in 1881, then the name was modified to Mebane. In 1987, the official name became the town of Mebane.
