The Masonic Temple, in-built 1873, may be a historic Masonic building in City of Brotherly Love, Pennsylvania. Set at One North Broad Street, directly across from City of Brotherly Love hall, it is the headquarters of the Grand Lodge of Pennsylvania, Free and Accepted Masons. The temple receives thousands of holiday makers per annum United Nations agency visit the ornate structure together with its seven ornate lodge rooms, wherever nowadays variety of City of Brotherly Love lodges and also the Grand Lodge conduct their conferences.
The massive granite cornerstone, advisement 10 tons, was leveled on St. John the Baptist’s Day, June 24, 1868. The ceremonial beetle used thereon day by Grand Master Richard landscaper was a similar beetle utilized by President President in leveling the cornerstone of the nation’s Capitol in 1793.
