Marked Tree may be a town in Poinsett County, Arkansas within the us, on the St. Francis stream, at the mouth of the limited stream. The population was two,800 at the 2000 census. It’s enclosed within the town, Arkansas Metropolitan applied mathematics space. Town got its name from a tree set on the bank of the St. Francis stream till 1890 that had been slashed to mark a region of the stream wherever Indians might walk one hundred twenty yards (110 m) across land to achieve the limited stream and avoid paddling twelve miles (19 km) upstream. It’s the sole town within the World therewith name.
