The Maritime & food trade deposit (MSIM) was established in 1986 to preserve and interpret the maritime history and heritage of Biloxi and also the Mississippi seacoast. It accomplishes this mission through Associate in Nursing array of exhibits on shrimping, oystering, recreational fishing, wetlands, managing marine resources, charter boats, marine blacksmithing, wood boat building, net-making, catboats/Biloxi small boat, shrimp peeling machine and diverse historic pictures and objects. The Wade Guice cyclone deposit among the deposit, that includes one,400 sq. feet (130 m2) of exhibit area and a state of the art theatre.
