Detail InformationEdit

The Marine road-Gil Hodges Memorial Bridge in big apple town (originally Marine Parkway Bridge) may be a vertical drawbridge that crosses Rockaway water and connects the Rockaway solid ground in Queens, with Marine road to flyer Field, Flatbush Avenue, and therefore the Marine Park neighborhood in borough. Opened on July three, 1937, it carries four motor traffic lanes, and a path on the western edge. Cyclepaths on each side of the road hook up with the Shore road belt and to Flatbush Avenue.
The operation of this bridge includes the upkeep of the Marine road from the parcel of land to Jacob Riis Park. Although a city-owned and operated bridge, it connects 2 elements of entranceway National Recreation space, a unit of the park System: flyer Field and Jacob Riis Park. The bridge is selected as big apple State Route 901B, associate unsigned reference route.
As of December thirty, 2010, the crossing charge for a two-axle rider vehicle is multiplied to $3.25 (cash), $2.17 (token), and $1.80 ($1.45 discount) for E-ZPass users. The crossing charge for a motorbike is $2.75 charged in every direction, with a $1.26 discount for E-ZPass users. Bound resident discounts apply to the present bridge.
