Detail InformationEdit
The Maria-Heimsuchung Chapel was built around 1650. It is located on the left bank of the Kaltenbach creek. A number of votive tablets (the oldest tablet dates back to the year 1670) testify to the chapel´s popular status as a destination for pilgrims. After World War II, a new chapel was built in place of the old chapel. The new building was finished in 1938 and has since been renovated in 1997. The chapel houses a number of precious works of art: a Gnadenbild (picture with miraculous powers), statues of St. Joseph and the Madonna, and elaborate glass windows.
