Detail InformationEdit

Marbach Castle has served as a subsidiary jail to the prison at Garsten until the year 1956.
The Castle is a three-story complex of quadrangular shape with annexes to its corners. Left from the road – linked to and accessible via the Castle – you´ll find the Chapel, right is the two-storied colonnade that incorporates the housekeeping structure on its lower end.
The courtyard is encircled by buildings on three sides and by a high brick wall on the fourth side. Today, the Castle´s hides of land all are leased. The Castle and the Chapel have been completely restored and refurbished in the 1970ies.
