Assiginack may be a territorial division within the state of Ontario, settled on Manitoulin Island. AN Ontario Historical Plaque was erected on the grounds of the Assiginack repository by the province to commemorate the Manitoulin Treaties’ role in Ontario’s heritage. The principal community within the territorial division is Manitowaning, that was supported in 1836 as a centre of the island’s Aboriginal education. Smaller communities within the territorial division embody Bass Creek, Bidwell, herbaceous plant depression, Eagles Nest, unsmooth Grove, The Slash, Squirrel city and Vanzant’s purpose.
